B. C. Rich Warlock was introduced in the early 1980. It was this guitar that made B. C. Rich one of the favorite guitar manufacturers in the heavy metal circles. It was soon discovered by famous guitarists like Mick Mars of Motley Crue, Paul Stanley of KISS and Slash of Guns N’ Roses. Later, it was further immortalized by Kerry King of Slayer, Mick Thompson of Slipknot and Robb Flynn of Machine Head.

There are a lot of different versions of the Warlock available, but they all feature the same mindblowing jagged body design two humbuckers.

So, let’s take a look at some of the most popular versions of the Warlock and examine the similarities and differences between them.

Warlock Metal Master Tribal Fire

This guitar has a mahogany body and a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and a 25.5” scale. It features a wraparound bridge, B.C. Rich Diecast tuners and two B.C. Rich B.S.D.M. pickups. This guitar offers the classic Warlock look and sound, but is affordable at a much lower price than some of the more expensive models.

Warlock NJ Deluxe

The NJ Deluxe comes with a mahogany body and a mahogany neck in a neck-thru construction. The fingerboard is made of ebony and has 24 jumbo frets. The electronics include an EMG 85 pickup at the bridge and an EMG 81 at the neck. They can be controlled with two volume knobs, a tone knob and a three-way toggle switch. The NJ Deluxe also features Grover tuners and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge.

Warlock Kerry King 7

The Kerry King 7 is a seven stringed guitar named after the legendary guitarist Kerry King who plays lead guitar in the American trash metal band Slayer. It has a maple body with a flame maple veneer. The maple neck in a neck-thru construction comes with an ebony fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets. The scale length is 25.5”. The guitar comes equipped with Grover tuners and a Kahler Hybrid 7 Tremolo. The pickups include an EMG 707 at the neck, an EMG 81-7 at the bridge and an EMG PA2 preamp. The guitar has a volume knob, a tone knob, a three-way toggle switch and a mini toggle to activate the PA2 preamp.

Kerry King Wartribe

Pickups are controlled with a volume knob, a tone knob and a three-way toggle switch. The guitar features B.C. Rich Diecast tuners and a Kahler X-trem bridge. The scale length is 25.5”.

Here is another reasonably priced guitar that strongly resembles the Kerry King models. It has a mahogany body and a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and dot inlays. Two B. C. Rich B.S.D.M. Give this guitar a great sound, which can be altered with a tone knob, a volume knob and a three-way toggle switch. The guitar also has a wraparound bridge and B.C. Rich Diecast tuners.

Warlock Revenge

The Revenge has a mahogany body, a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and diamond inlays. It has B.C. Rich Diecast tuners and a tune-o-matic bridge with a stop bar.

The pickups are two B.C. Rich B.S.D.M., while the controls include a volume knob, a tone knob and a three-way toggle switch. The scale length is 25.5”.

Warlock One

This wonderful instrument has a basswood body and a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and dot inlays. Two B.C. Rich B.S.D.M. Pickup can be controlled with a three-way toggle switch, a tone knob and a volume knob. The Warlock One also features B. C. Rich diecast tuners and a B. C. Rich Quad bridge. The scale length is 25.5”.

Warlock Widow

This beast has a mahogany body and a maple bridge with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and dot inlays. It also has B. C. Rich diecast tuners and a tune-o-matic bridge. The pickups are two B.C. Rich B.S.D.M. and are controlled with a tone knob, a volume knob and a three-way toggle switch. The scale length is 25.5”.

The Warlock Widow comes in a Onyx finish.
